CFAI Program Manager Center for Public Safety Excellence Reston, Virginia, United States
To provide the most efficient fire and emergency services protection to their community, fire departments must execute data-driven decisions. The Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) has developed a new award of certification for communities who complete a Community Risk Assessment and Standard of Cover (CRA/SOC). The CRA/SOC Certificate offers agencies of all sizes and configurations an opportunity to implement the methodologies necessary to develop data-driven emergency response policies. The program has been uniquely developed for small, volunteer and combination agencies who seek to professionally recognize their efforts to provide their communities with the best fire and emergency services they can afford. As the CRA/SOC Program Manager will not only bring the details of the certificate program but he offers a unique perspective on the decades of benefit he has seen in agencies who have implemented similar programs. The CPSE sees the CRA/SOC Certificate Program as an excellent path for volunteer fire departments who wish to demonstrate their community risk and response capabilities in an understandable format.
