Mobile Integrated Health: Risk Reduction in the Medical Community

In North Mason County the Doctor is once again making house calls through the North Mason Fire Authority's Mobile Integrated Health Program. The program employs a medical provider (Physician Associate) and Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner that responds in the field to 1) reduce community risk related to the numerous challenges in the health care system, 2) drastically reduce emergency room utilization and EMS transports and 3) save over 8 million dollars per year in health care dollars spent by citizens within our community, and most importantly 4) drastically improve patient health care outcomes. This new medical service delivery model IS the future for how health care will be delivered delivered in rural and suburban communities.
