Scott Moore has proudly served in public safety for more than 30 years. He is currently the Fire Chief of the Battlefield Fire Protection District in Southwest Missouri. He additionally serves the Deputy Team Commander of the Southwest Missouri Incident Support Team, Reserve Corporal for the Christian County, MO Sheriff’s Office and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the IAFC Fire and Life Safety Section Board of Directors. Chief Moore has a Bachelor’s in Emergency Management and a Master’s in Public Service and Safety. Chief Moore is an adjunct professor for the Drury University (Springfield, MO) graduate program for Public Service and Safety Leadership with an emphasis on Human Resource Management and Financial Management.
Among these valuable experiences, Chief Moore found a passion for the political opportunities Public Safety has to effect change. This includes local, state and national level initiatives. This passion brought him to the FLSS and the CRRL conference.
