Ray Reynolds serves as the Fire Chief for Nevada, Iowa. He is a former State Fire Marshal for Iowa and has developed a state-wide smoke alarm program for Iowa resulting in 60,000 smoke alarms being installed. Ray served on the IAFC Fire and Life Safety Section and is a member of the ICC Fire Code Action Committee. Chief Reynolds is a community risk reduction focused fire chief. He is a Combat Veteran and retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class.
