Deputy Chief Paul Miller of the Crawfordsville Fire Department began his fire service career on a paid-on-call fire department 1996 near Flint Michigan. In June of 1999, his career began with the Crawfordsville Fire Department as a firefighter/EMT before earning his paramedic license and being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2008. In 2014 he was appointed Division Chief of EMS and Training where he served until 2024.
Chief Miller holds an associate’s degree in Fire Science Technology from Mott Community College as well as numerous State and National Fire Service certifications. Chief Miller is a state-licensed and nationally registered paramedic and past licensed teacher through the State of Indiana who assisted in developing the South Montgomery High School Fire and EMS career technical programs for Montgomery County. In addition, he was instrumental in the development of the Crawfordsville MIH-CP programs and has been the central point of contact for all community partners.
