Fire and Life Safety Educator
Rochester Hills Fire Department
Rochester Hills, Michigan, United States
Hello, my name is Jennifer Conklin and I am the Fire and Life Safety Educator for Rochester Hills Fire Department. I have been a part of the fire service for 13 years and am retired as a firefighter of 12 years from Hartland Deerfield Fire Authority. My fire background encompasses varied areas of experience that include being a Lieutenant on the suppression side, Fire Inspector and a part of the Dive and Tech Rescue teams. All of these skills came into play when relaying fire safety to the public. My new position in Rochester Hills has given me the opportunity to be more specific with the educational programming and the impact on the community by partnering with our GIS department. The capability to track and quantify our educational programs gives validity to our efforts in Community Risk Reduction.
